Here's some more info about me.

About

During the last semester of my graduate studies at the University of Texas at Dallas in Computer Science, I had the opportunity to build a real-world Neurofeedback based gaming application at a budding start-up, Prism Technologies. I was one of the first employees and also the co-founder, and had the opportunity to lead the development of the product in a team of 4 Engineers.

This experience not only helped me to learn technologies in Cloud Computing but also, while making product pitches at competitions such as Y-COM, TechCrunch, improved my Product Development skills and ability to rapid prototype ideas.

In December,2020 towards the end of my internship at Prism, we had successfully buit a few demo games for the investors and the idea got selected into the NYU Entrepreneurs Challenge - NYU Stern 2020-21 making it's way into the semi-finals.

How long have you been practicing machine learning?

I discovered Machine Learning at the beginning of 2016 while designing a Content based recommendation system during my full-time role at Fxkart.com. Since then, I have immersed myself in Machine Learning communities on Medium and full-time Machine Learning Engineering roles.

I have rich experience in building machine learning solutions, Duriing one of the projects, I designed a system for detecting "Active state/ Mood" of the user using physiological data from the user. I have also worked on projects related with NLP tasks (Language Modelling), Computer Vision (Object Detection) and Closed feedback systems (Intelligent Systems).

Do you have any experience working with databases?

I have designed and deployed Microsoft MySQL server database during my time at Fxkart. I wrote SQL stored procedures, and have also worked with AWS- DynamoDB database servers.

I believe, with a bit of more experience in Cloud Computing, I would be able to design and deploy scalable ML applications for the users

Why are you interested in Machine Learning/ Intelligent Systems?

"We see with our brains, not with our eyes." - said the Neuroscientist Paul Bach-y-Rita.

This profound quote from the book: The Brain That Changes Itself, introduced me to the astonishing world of "neuroplasticity" and permanently altered the way I understood mind, human nature, and human potential.

Intelligent Systems reflect the ability to generalize and solve problems very similar to how our brain learns and re-learns with the help of new information through sensors. We can deploy this technology to solve the more challenging problems of the 20th century in the field of HealthCare, espcially Neurosciences.

What kind of work do you see yourself doing?

I am interested in building scalable machine learning applications that can communicate with existing production systems.

Positions such as Machine Learning Engineer, ML-Software Engineer, ML Infrastructure/Operations Engineer or AI-Software Engineer would fit very well with my skill-set. A mix of Machine learning engineering, Software Engineering and Devops.
